Default Get well Buzz Aldrin

Get well soon dude.

As his age on the South Pole. Damm. I hope I have 1/100 that level of piss and vinegar when I'm his age.

What a life.

At 86, having been to the moon, WTH is he doing at 7K feet and sub-zero temps? Bucket list or death wish? Wonder who paid for that USAF transport to med-evac him to NZ? Never mind. Think I know. Kudos to Buzz for having the cajones to attempt this, but at 86, really kind of dumb.

Not dumb at all. The same personal grit that planted him on the moon using 1969 technology. I doubt he cares about a cough. A true modern space-age pioneer.

Do anyone really think they have "buzz"er beaters at the South Pole? I seriously doubt it.

Au contraire, Pierre! In '69, moon-walkie time - he was 39 and likely in far better health than now at 86, else he wouldn't have gotten green-lighted to the moon in '69. Personal grit had zip to do with it. It was NASA's call, not Buzz'. If he was troubled by a simple cough at the NP, he would still be at the NP and not in NZ. Granted, he is indeed a space-age pioneer, but still a little dumb.

Pretty Amazing!

Just think how it must be to WALK ON THE MOON

- and then...well, find something...anything to do next.

I sure am glad I eventually became a late bloomer...eventually.

Whoever paid for it, this is a man that earned any special treatment he got. If we can pay $7 million a day just to operate our latest Aircraft Carrier, we can certainly foot the bill to rescue one of our national treasures from Antarctica during a moment of over-ambition.

Let's get our Bering Strait. I heard he has put-in for the Mars Colonization Program. He just might make it.
