Default OT: Mickey Humor

I have heard this story many times and it makes me laugh every time I hear it. Hoping someone out there is hearing it for the first time.

Nobody tells it like Mickey.

Being a true Southerner, I recognized this story instantly from Jerry Clower.

So did I.

Funny how people get credit for other peoples jokes. Or maybe the Mick did actually have that happen. Or maybe he was a fan. Just imagine it's like music and movies. All stolen but re-done in other peoples words or cinematography.

On this forum, Mickey deserves the credit. On a Southern Forum, you can give the credit to Jerry Clower.

I think more people here would rather have a Mickey Mantle autograph or card than on from Jerry Clower.

Haha. I'd heard Mickey tell that before. May have been the same clip, or perhaps it was on the Tonight Show or something like that. Whatever the origin of the story, it's fun to see and hear Mickey tell it.
