Without cheating, how many of these cards (year/player) can you name from just the fragment pictured? Hint: All are HOF.

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

#5 is Steve Carlton I believe.

Taking a guess that #4 is Dave Concepcion or Joe Morgan.

Too late, but would have gotten all 6. The new one might be 57 T Aaron.

Biffed that one after checking the Aaron card. Definitely a 57T card though.

I sorted through so many 78T cards when I first started collecting that I could pretty much name every player from their card photo w/o seeing the name. I can still probably name 90%+ just because they are seared into my brain. I'm sure the most obscure players each year would be tricky in a game like this, but someone out there will know.

Same for me on the 78's except I could tell you what the game result for every card was because my brother and I played it so much.

But what year…I am going to say 79. I know the 78 was a batting "action" pose.

You are talking about the game boxes on the backs, right? I knew those pretty well too, but have since forgotten. I definitely knew the HRs longer, but even those have faded from memory. I remember hating the rule cards that had no play action on them!
