125-150K.

At that level of condition and rarity, assume it will go higher than you might expect.

I don't know if it's for an upcoming auction or if it's going to be for sale. I just saw it on the front page of PSA's website.

Amazing card but I would be nervous as hell about the corners getting dinged when it inevitably floats around in that oversized holder...

I just checked the pop report, this is the only type 4 in a pittsburg uniform psa has graded. In any grade. There are 9 non type 4s graded. I do not know what the difference is. The next highest grade is a 5.

For the nicest example of such a rare and important card the sky's the limit. It would be a great addition to any of the finest collections in the world. Out of my league, but it's a great looking card. I wouldn't be surprised to see it go well into the 6 figures.

There are many type 4's, the PSA pop did not record them for some time. A quick internet search will bring up a dozen or so different ones, if you wade thru both the images and the listings.

I have always thought that there should be a different grading scale for cabinets. That thing is freaking beautiful and it is a 7. One of the nicest cabinets I have ever seen. Granted i can't see the back but that looks like at least an 8 to me!? Really really nice card

What year(s) is that from? Why isn't it stated?? Isn't that virtually the first thing a person looks for on a slab?

There are other HOFers that were just graded as part of this collection as wel. The only reason why they are 1/0 is because PSA just started differentiating the four different mounts. All of these cards were known to exist.

Condition wise, this is the finest collection of W600 Hall of Famers that I know of. I would love to see them come to the market.

Seems like the response now every time someone shows a really nice anything. Yes, everything really nice is doctored somehow and fake.

Nothing personal but these responses always come off like a lot of sour grapes.

Anyone know where these were found or who they belong too?

I am not implying being Dr'd one bit but it always amazes me that something this old and what it/they are made of can be in this good of condition.

I assume these were likely placed between book pgs many many years ago or into something I am not familiar with?
Needless to say, I am glad the person(s) these belonged to took such great care of them!

It seems like people know a lot about these specific cards, but they aren't saying who they belong to or whether they will be up for sale ....

This seems to be the Copeland group that sold back in March of 1991. That group had a total of 70 cabinets including over 50 different Hall of Famers (counting different poses). I was at the auction and the lot did not meet its minimum bid, but sold privately immediately afterwards. I remember that the overall condition of the lot was absolutely amazing. I have not corresponded with their current owner, but, as far as I know, he just got them graded and they are going right back into his collection.

+1 as I would think just the price of the Wagner or the Cobb would double what the cost of the entire group cost back in 1991.

No gasket Dale, they were scanned using the "lid up" technique.

So there is nothing from stopping those cards from moving around in there, Jeff?
All look perfectly centered/square in those slabs.

Personally, I'd be afraid to pick them up/move them if they can move around easily?

The error card in this group is mind boggling. These are printed directly on the cabinet, there is no mounted photo. Yet we have a mismatched photo/caption. So perhaps the captions and images were separate print runs?? I don't think they were, so someone must have been having a bad at the printers.

i do not think that is Frank Chance. Does anyone know who is actually pictured?

The card on the left i what the card should look like. I have never seen an error like this on a W600.

Now that PSA gives a better description on W600s by including the Cabinet mount type, wonder how much would they charge to reholder ones graded before the change? This one of Cy is type 2

So should the miscaptioned one be considered a Chance or a Wolverton?

No sour grapes at all. Not something I collect. Not something I want actually.

But everytime someone peels back the curtain on a big card (the T206 Wagner, that WWG Gehrig recently, etc.) we find proof of card doctoring.

So anyone with a shred of common sense knows that's as likely to be undoctored as Kaley Cuoco's boobs.
