Default World Series Betting & Vintage Cards - What a combo!

Posted By: Mike McGrail

Greetings,

As I am certain that there will be no ring going to Boston any time soon, I'm backing the NL team (whoever it is) and taking all bets.

In this form - If the Bosox take the ring back to bean town, I'll send you a pre-1945 card with some Boston player on it. If the NL team wins, you send me a pre-1945 card with some Pirate player on it. Simple, huh?

There ... the gauntlet has been thrown. Any takers?

Ciao for now,

Mike

Mike,
I'll take that offer. If you win I'll send you a nice pirates card.

Got you noted Nick, but where are the rest of the Boston fans? Or could it be that they know deep in their heart that the Sox don't have a chance? Certainly now that the opponent will be the Red Birds instead of the somewhat weaker Astros.

Maybe I have to "smoke you out" with some smack talk?

Do you realize that thousands of fans in St. Louis are already practicing chanting the phrase "WHO'S YOUR DADDY? WHO'S YOUR DADDY?"

Any more takers?

Mike

Greetings to you Red Sox fans who until now have not had the back bone to jump all over this bet. Whats keepin' you all silent? Where are the bean towners who can't wait to empty me out of all my pre-war Boston cards?

Until now only one person willing to back their team? You guys just beat the NYY after being down 3-0! Surely you are thinking that this luck will last another series and the Bosox will finally get that ring, right?

I'm still open to any and all action on this until the first pitch of the series has been hurled. Any takers?

Ciao for now,

Mike

Q: Why is a paternity test never necessary for Boston Red Sox players?
A: Because everyone already knows who their "Daddy" is.

I'll take that bet, but the only card I have is a Cammitz Colgan's Chip that is in good condition.

OK Nick & DD,

You guys got a 2-0 lead on me now. In all honesty, I was expected a 1-1 stand going back to St. Louis but ...

... I don't hear no fat lady singin' yet!!

Ciao for now,

Mike

I got my hands on a nice R311 Pie Traynor. Is it too late to take that bet since I have a pre-war Pirates card to bet with now? Too late? Damn!

which just arrived today--did you know you left this in it?<br />

Oh, the irony! If you want Pirate cards so much, why are you giving them away?

...and go Sox--but==wouldn't it be--funny--if the Cardinals won 4 in a row? Nah...

Please send my winnings to the "Showroom" Address(below). Feel free to stick a note in there stating how you lost because the Red Sox Rule!
