Default OJ Wright

Saw the OJ Wright went for $750 - I think that was a pretty good pickup for someone considering it had the "NL" designation on it. Surprised Legendary didnt include that in the description; it is even on the SGC slip...

If anyone here won the "1880s-1930s Vintage "Type Card" Collection (117 Different) Including Hall of Famers", let me know. There are 1 (maybe 2) minor cards I would be interested in.

John, nice pickup on the 1890 Wright! Prices were pretty weak across the board. Prices were strong in the last Legendary, but weak again in the one before last... Seems very shaky to me. I wasn't a bidder last night for various reasons, so I'll just tell myself that I would've just been running stuff up to normal prices anyway, and I'll get over it.

Edit: It Looks like last night was my chance to grab a Brooklyn mini... I have been wanting one since I started collecting, I hope the Driers had more.

Yep, definitely; unfortunately, the only stuff I was seriously interested in, went high. At some point the guys collecting the same stuff as me have to run out of money

I thought so too, that is why I won it. In fact, I was trying to figure out how much my max bid was going to be and around 11:29pm last night, I was actually getting mad that the other bidders were waiting until the last minute to place their next bid. I didn't want to stay up too late going back and forth on it.

Not only is Wright a tough HOF'er to get in the first place, the 1890 card only comes with one of his three poses and it is a lot easier to find the non-NL version of that card. So yes, that is a very tough card to find

Glad to hear you got it John - agree that 750 is a good price for a "common" Wright, much less this one. I had a placeholder bid in and planned to come back and bid again but I got busy and by the time I checked it again the auction had ended.

Thanks Scott. Wish I put in another bid on the Wilbert Robinson OJ, that went too cheap. Someone got a great buy on that

Default pickup

I acquired the underwood and underwood 1915 photo of game 2
of the world series between Boston and Philadelphia.
Great dynamic between the 2 catchers. Grover Cleveland Alexander lost this
one.
all the best,
barry
