Default REA: Job Well Done

It gets said countless times, over and over again. But, it needs to be restated here. If there is a better auction house than REA, or better customer service than Bryan Dwyer specifically, I do not know it. Here I am on Tuesday afternoon, with all of my winnings from (very) early Sunday morning. Price of shipping? Zero dollars. Holy cow.

Great job guys - and thanks for including loads of signed pre-WWI cards this time!

Did you get your winnings before you even paid? I mailed my check off yesterday! How is that even humanly possible?

Payment sent immediately and then let Bryan know of a change of shipping address. Bam. Just like that!

That's awesome. Although, with your haul, AJ, I would have expected two dudes wearing suits and glasses carrying a metal briefcase!

I sold the last of my T206 and T207 collection which remained from the Fall 2015 auction and I can't say enough about how well Bryan handled my consignments. It is a Tiffany operation.

The auction was already going on when my bids were placed. I have to honor my winning bids.

I don't renege.

How did you lucky guys get your stuff overnighted? I just got my tracking, coming fedex ground, it'll take a week to get here. Still, definitely faster than other auction houses I have dealt with, REA is top notch in everything they do.

I think Heritage runs a great auction as well, but shipping speed and cost are a huge opportunity relative to REA. (I know this sentiment has been posted before, but I feel like the dudes at Heritage are actually reading these posts and trying to improve the customer experience.)

I won a couple items from Heritage a couple years ago for close to the same dollar amount shipping was $38.00 and waited over a month for the items to arrive haven't did business with them since. I think they have improved since then from some of the post I have seen on here and they always seem to have some great stuff.

Count me as a very satisfied customer. I mailed my check Monday, and I had my items in-hand on Thursday!

I also really enjoyed the new website experience and larger scans.

I look forward to the fall auction!

Cheers,
Steve

Mailed my check to REA on Tuesday, and my cards arrived today. For vintage card selection and customer service, REA is the BEST by far!

Not sure how you top Brian's service, knowledge, and accessibility. Unquestionably, one of if not the best in the business.

This is what is odd to me. Mailed our check on Monday and still nothing. Even in their TOS they state that they wait 5-10 days for the check to clear before they ship anything out. Is there a different set of rules for different people?

Just speaking for myself, I send cashier's checks, not personal checks, when paying for items.

Cheers,
Steve

Bobby, Pete is just joking (I think!). I think auction houses usually ship faster to buyers who have many years of proven payments to them. I remember in the past for Legendary, if you had something like 4-5 auctions where your check cleared without problems, they would ship once they received your payment without waiting for your check to clear. I'm assuming REA takes that to another level with buyers who have an even longer record of purchases (especially higher dollar) from them. In addition, some of these folks may have had large consignments with REA in the past. (Not speaking for REA, just wildly guessing)

I have dealt with REA for 6 years. My first invoice was in 2010. If that isn't long enough, then I apologize. Actually, I want to say it is longer than that. I was looking on their site, and the invoices only go back to 2010, but I could have swore it's been longer than that, because that same year also has a consignor statement, and I know I was buying from them long before I consigned anything to them.
