Default BVG-graded t206's crossover well?

I'm sure that this has been asked and answered many times before.... What has been your experience with crossing over BVG-graded t206's to PSA? I have a handful of BVG-graded t206's that are BVG 5's, 5.5's and 6's, but the most of the rest of my set is PSA-graded. One part of this question is whether or not the cards should be cracked prior to submission to PSA or sent in as true crossovers? Any help is appreciated!

Default From my experience

From my experience BVG is very conservative in their grading and they will usually cross to SGC as same grade, or 1/2 to 1 grade better. I have no idea about PSA....As far as cracking them first, if it were me, I would...since those aren't super high grade. regards

I would not cross over any T206 card graded by BVG. I would sell the cards as is, just from my past experience.

I'd submit them to PSA with a minimum grade and get them crossed-over with that minimum grade or returned to you in the BVG holder. By cracking them out, you risk getting a lower grade (or higher if you are very lucky) if you try to regrade them again at PSA.

I had 2 T206 HOFer's (Young & Bender portraits) graded 2.5 by BVG. Tried to cross to SGC 3 (no 2.5) & neither one was allowed. Sold them both in the BVG holder.

I was pretty sure the Young would cross, but it didn't.

In my experience with crossovers you will be better off cracking and subbing.

Default I would...

...just send them to SGC, uncracked. They will upgrade if it warrants.

With T206s, SGC, PSA and BVG have subtle differences in their standards depending on the flaw in the card. For example, SGC allows a touch more corner wear on a 60/Ex/5 than PSA; BVG will be more lenient on glue residue than SGC; PSA will be more lenient on paper loss than SGC, etc.

But all three will take you down to a 3 for a visible crease, etc. Typical flaws are treated the same generally.
