Question MLB Authentication holograms with same numbers?

Does anybody know if MLB issues the same authentication/serial numbers on their holograms if the signing session is the same or do they issue unique numbers to each individual item regardless if it's at the same signing?

I recently came across two Pujols signed black baseballs, two different sellers, on ebay and they both had the same hologram numbers (both the Pujols holo and MLB holos were the same #). The serial # checks out on MLB's site, but which one is real?

Ending first:

I think it's the same ball. Notice there's a finger print on the A.

The second seller also sold the same ball on 4/8. Something weird going on, just not sure what.

Edited to add: Second seller sold the ball to the 1st seller on 4/8. (Check the feedback on the winning bidder below).

One or the other is selling without having the ball in hand. Weird situation.

You guys are right...it does appear to be the same ball. I wonder if it's just the same seller with two seller IDs trying to get the best price.
So, I guess it confirms that MLB does only issue one unique hologram # per item and not for the whole signing. Thanks, guys.

I'm pretty sure the 1 unique MLB number per item thing is correct.

On the same seller with two ID's running simultaneous AUCTIONS though, I remain doubtful. I could see having a high fixed price showing on one account to dupe rubes into bidding more on the auction because they think it's worth more. To run two auctions for the same item though would just be dumb. And that would also mean that he sold the ball to himself a little over a week ago, and paid all the fees and commissions on that transaction as well. Just doesn't make sense to do things that way (though, I guess "making sense" is not a requirement for selling on eBay). The scenario of one or the other selling something they no longer have in hand seems far more likely.
