Default 1952 Topps Mantle - Any Concerns?

I'm considering purchasing this PSA graded 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle. The front picture of the card and the flip match images on the PSA certification site and VCP from a June 2017 auction of the card. The last image is of the card and has the username of the seller from the forum it was listed on along with the date, so that appears to validate that he has the card in hand. At the time of posting the card for sale, he only had 4 posts on that forum, but it appears to check out. Was hoping to get some opinions from others here. Thanks in advance for your help.

I would be concerned about the price. It looks like it was offered for 25k, "sold" for 19.85k and now is being offered for 16k. I would be curious why the seller is losing money on a 52T Mantle. Are you looking to do an in person deal? How are you protecting yourself from getting taken? Would he be open to using a third party?

He didn’t buy it for $19.85K. He says he bought it for $16K in August. This all assumes he is truthful. I plan on using a credit card for payment.

Have you thought about doing this in person in broad daylight in a public place ? A plane ticket nowadays is cheap insurance for a card and a price like this.--just a thought from a paranoiac ,.

I did end up purchasing the card using a credit card through PayPal. Wish me luck.
