Default Need alittle help with 1945 Detroit autograph

.

Hey all you knowledgable OC members. I am having a basket of trouble identifying this signature on a 1945 Detroit Tigers team signed ball (located below the signature of Les Mueller, of which last five or six characters appear in attachment, above the mystery signature).

I'm beginning to wonder if it's a clubhouse version of Jim Tobin. It's nothing like Tobin's signature on other signed items I have from that period. Other Jim's (James) on the team include Hack Miller, and Jimmy Outlaw. But both have signed the same ball, and neither are similar in style to this signature.

Take a look and see if you can help a fellow collector out.

My thanks.

Default no autograph guy but....

I am no autograph guy but that one is hard to make out. I wonder if autographs like that can actually be authenticated with great accuracy? Yes, the last part is always subject to debate.
