Default now is this cool or what?

even the folks that don't like baseball cards think this one looks cool......my newest olfactory delight ....measurement is 10 x 2 3/4....I never realized how striking they were...E221 Bishop, PCL team card ....What I find interesting too is the fact that in Lew Lipset's Encyclopedia, on page 67, he describes the card by saying it specifically says "This is one of a series of 6 pictures"...mine just says "pictures showing each team in the league".....with no mention of "6"...oh well....pretty trivial ...thought this was neat.....best regards

According to SCBC 2002, only 5 clubs have been found of the 6 that played PCL.
The Sacramento team card was apparently never issued.

The San Francisco card used as the plate on the SCBC looks somewhat different to this one.

Nice card Leon!

I remember seeing only one some years ago when the National was in Chicago.

Nice pick up.

Leon,

Ok. We know where, the last question is "How much?"

You lucky dog you. You picked up a "Just So" card for $7.25!

That's it, no more bidding for people who live in igloos.

Don't take it personally Leon. I saw the card on Ebay while it was active. I noticed you bidding on it so I figured it was out of my ball park. I was suprised that it didn't hit reserve and also a bit suprised that more vintage guys didn't see it. If you don't think that other guys on this board follow your bids, you're probably wrong. Repay me? Just send me an eskimo babe or something. Stay cool.

I am having a bad day...no problem...but if I would have wanted EVERYBODY to go check my bidding I would have said it....but no biggie...first Eskimo Sundae is on me .....BTW, the deal is done and I picked up an E222 AWH caramel, d304 brunners, tatoo orbit-proof, some semi scarce T206 backs, T207 Cycle, D359 Rochester, T205 Cycle, T205 Amer. Beauty, D311 PCL, Bresnahan Old Put, Uzit, T207 Broadleaf, T206 Carolina Brights, D380 Clements, T214 Victory (fair), D381 Wood, E104 common, (2) E135 Standard Biscuits, Baseball Bats, and several other semi scarce T206's, a General Baking D303, an orange border, and an E103...they are all commons except the Bressy, in vg-ex, ....and I think I won 1 1/2 lots last night....I am really broke now ... ya'all take care now......(BTW, the Alaska/eskimo/igloo thing is a running joke from the old board if you don't know)...best regards

Just to rain on Leon's parade a bit I sat at a table this morning with roughly 1/3 of all known examples of these cards in existance along with and uncut sheet. And just to confirm what was mentioned earlier, there are only 5 teams on the sheet.

LOL, of course you would know who's place I went to. He's doing fine. It's always a good day when I can go to Mark's place and see parts of his collection I have not seen before, which isn't much now. I think he needed to mop the kitchen floor of all the drool I left behind. We took a good, close look at the e90-3 Hofman card I have. Very interesting print error, to say the least. If anyone wants all the details on the Hofman card, I will gladly mail it to you.
