What are the chances of me finding any 1928 Star Player Candy cards at the National?

Will,

There were some last year - not many though. TIK had a bunch, but they have since all been sold I believe, and a dealer had about 15 trimmed ones. I saw the trimmed ones and was going to buy them, but when I went back, someone had beaten me to it.

My guess is there are bound to be a couple, but dont expect to complete your set...
