Default Looking for help with 1990 Donruss Aqueous PSA values

Hi, all, I just got some 1990 Donruss Aqueous Test cards back from PSA. I actually was very pleased with my grades - I knew that they were nice, but was pleasantly surprised at HOW good the grades were. I'm really just looking for some input on values at the present. I'll be selling, once I get a better idea of what to ask for them. Most are the highest graded, with a couple of exceptions. Any input would be very much appreciated. Thanks! Mike

#1 - Bo Jackson - GEM MT 10
#28 - Robin Ventura - MINT 9
#30 - Sandy Alomar Jr - MINT 9
#68 - Wade Boggs - NM 7
#105 - Ryne Sandberg - NM 7
#108 - Jim Abbott - MINT 9
#125 - Jose Canseco - MINT 9
#126 - Barry Bonds - MINT 9
#144 - George Brett - NM 7
#145 - Tom Glavine - MINT 9
#147 - Gary Carter - NM-MT 8
BC-1 - Bo Jackson - NM-MT 8
BC-2 - Howard Johnson - MINT 9
BC-4 - Tony Gwynn - MINT 9

I'm posting a couple of pics here. The scans turned out a little darker than I'd hoped, so accept my apologies on that.

Cool

Nice cards!!! I hesitate to venture a guess on the Jackson 10, but your best bet might be to contact the top few guys on the Bo Jackson PSA Registry and see what they think (i.e., offer).

VCP has just started tracking prices for 90 Donruss AQs, so there isn't a lot of pricing history for graded cards. Here's what's out there (last price in each case):

PSA 10s
190 Don Mattingly $1,248.23
201 Ozzie Smith $102.50
235 Darryl Strawberry $153.50

PSA 9s
166 Nolan Ryan $590.99
190 Don Mattingly $304.00
201 Ozzie Smith $118.73
BC-10 Ryne Sandberg $71.00

PSA 8s
1 Bo Jackson $89.00
33 Juan Gonzalez $201.00
61 Bo Jackson $159.92
184 Roger Clemens $68.57
190 Don Mattingly $102.50
223 Andre Dawson $36.00
230 Will Clark $515.05
235 Darryl Strawberry $89.99
270 Gregg Jefferies $50.00
BC-1 Bo Jackson $178.50

PSA 7s
190 Don Mattingly $133.09

You should also get in touch with the 1990 Donruss Aqueous Registry participants (cough) and have them make offers on any that would be upgrades for them. I'm sure one of them (cough) would be interested in a few of the cards.

Hi, Bob! It's a pleasure to hear from you! I know that you're the first-ballot Hall Of Famer on this set! In researching these, after I came across them, I read all I could on them, and am amazed at your collection - CONGRATS on that! If I had a bigger start, I would TRY to finish it. Thanks for the pricing help. I've seen all of the (most recent) auctions, etc, even that outrageous Brett from a few years ago, but the prices are so wildly inconsistent, it's crazy. And I know that the fact that most of these are the highest graded (in most cases) doesn't make it any easier. I'm not trying to retire off of them. I just don't want to leave TOO much money on the table on them :-) You were obviously going to be one of my go-to guys, so I'll definitely keep you posted. I'm not going to do anything with them for a bit (it's really cool to OWN some, for once), but when the time comes, I'm sure we can talk some more on them. Again, thanks for the reply! Mike

Default Welcome to Net 54

Mike showed me these cards on Saturday. He also showed me some double front cards I had never seen before in 1990 Donruss. Those were really cool

Please stop bumping threads to try for BSTs in the baseball forums. Send the guy a direct message or post in the correct Buy/Sell/Trade forum.

A PM to the Original Poster or a want add in the BST section usually works. I have a few commons but have always wanted the Wade Boggs, just too cheap to spend that much on that card. They are rare and all 7 Nolan Ryans listed on eBay will tell you that.
