Default E96 Arrelanes - Educate Me

Everyone,
I know my E98s, but I don't know E96s. Can someone out there tell me why this common card went so high in the recent Goodwin austion? I know that it is a 60/5 , but there were also two other 50/4s in the auction that brought an average of $300 between them. Is this a tough common to get? Is this a reall high grade for E96s? Just curious and wanted something to learn. oh, it went for over $1,200!

Tim,

I am curious as well. I commented to a fellow hobby friend about the hammer on this one. I own a PSA 4 and an SGC 30 of this card so I have some experience. It's not the easiest E96 but not that tough.

One other thing, there is actually a BIN on ebay right now for an SGC 60 (the same exact grade as the Goodwin) for about 25% less then the Goodwin. Were talking an Ebay Bin here! Mystery to me.

Edited to add that Quan is correct, there is also a PSA 5 on ebay.

Crazy if you ask me. Memory Lane has had one in the same grade for sale for several years for 25% less with no takers.

Cheers,
Blair
