What a gorgeous card...I wish it was for sale...

Brian Weisner 04-30-2009 02:22 PM

Hi Barry,
You need an avatar...... How about a picture of Newman???? Or Jackie Childes? Better yet... Teri Hatcher or Mulva(Deloris)....

Be well Brian :)

calvindog 04-30-2009 02:27 PM

Jeez, they let a tarheel in here? There goes the neighborhood....

And Matt--believe me, the thought of selling that card is making me physically ill.

When you upload images from your own computer, they display as a thumbnail. But, when a user clicks on them, they are shown full size. This is done to save server bandwidth and keep the forum moving faster. If you refer to an image already online then it displays full size.

Matt,
I'm confused. Why is Eric's Jennings photo large and mine shows as a thumbnail?

If you bring your image in as an embedded image from Picassa or Photobucket, etc., you can show your image at actual size. If you use Net54 to actually host your image, you'll be limited to the thumb nail.

Just to clarify - your full image is still available but what gets shown inline in the thread is the thumbnail. When anyone clicks the thumbnail, they will see it fullsize.

John V 04-30-2009 03:41 PM

So when using Photobucket...

will I attach using the URL?

No. To reference an image already online, you click on the Insert Image icon (looks like a mountain), located in the area on top of where you type, 5th from the right in the bottom row. It will open a window asking for the URL.

Jim VB 04-30-2009 03:48 PM

John V,

When I did it with Photobucket, I went to the image, clicked "share", then went down to the third option which is "HTML." Cut and paste that info into the post and you can skip the "mountain" icon.

(How ironic is it that I'm giving instructions?)

T206Collector 04-30-2009 04:22 PM

John V,

Just cut and paste the HTML text from Photobucket into the text of your message and then click "preview" before you post. That way you can see if you're doing it right.

Trying to see if I can post an image directly from my hard drive instead of having to use an image-hosting site. Does not appear that I can right now, except for the little attachments? Shoot.

I'll put direct image posting from hard drive (w/o attachment or even thumbnails) on the wish list once the dust settles?

J

(Cool image though. Another one of my kites. Maybe the most technically advanced kite made.)
