Paul, hang in there...

This is tremendously saddening news, and my family and I are sorry to hear of your loss. Our best wishes to you and your son, and we hope that every day becomes a little easier over the years. It will. The loss of her and her memory will not fade, but hopefully the pain does. You are fortunate to have your son with you. May you both live a full and fun life as a tribute.

Thank you, friends. I tried to be active on this board when I first joined, but realized I was more of a student than contributor. I have not been online much since we learned of Karin's cancer.

Thank you for your kind words during this difficult time. I do not know where my life is headed at this time, but if I am in town during the national, I would like to visit with some of you kind folks to say thank you for your kindness and prayers.

Regards,

Paul

So Sorry

Words, no matter how well put together, are simply inadequate consolation.

May God comfort you and your family

To Paul

I have prayed for you and your son this morning, and to your family affected. When my wife was very ill last year in hospital, we received many prayers and things were better for the short term. I sincerely hope the prayers will help you and your family.

Paul,

13 years ago my sister-in-law, also about your wife's age, was the only person killed in a small plane crash that went down in Lake Michigan. She left behind her 6 yr old son and a 3 yr old daughter. I know it was pretty rough for her husband for a while but he had a lot of support from family, friends, and the love for his children. He remarried a great lady (also with a little boy of her own) a few years later, and today the children are healthy , happy, and the little girl is celebrating her Bat Mitzvah later today. Don't forget to tell your son "I love you" every day and I hope that the future will bring many happy times again

My deepest sympathy to you and yours. I was in the same postion as you about 2 and a half years ago only without a child to raise. You will never be completely the same, but you will gradually learn to accept.
