The Cy Young piece is fantastic, that would look great anywhere .....especially on one of my walls.

Just picked up this 2 page ty letter about a great duck hunt trip he had.

These aren't new pickups, but I decided to reframe them to match the Cy Young I did earlier this month.

Got Ray Knight to sign today at Nats park before Jordan Zimmermann pitched the Nationals' first no hitter. Have met Ray a couple of times and he's very approachable. I didn't ask for the inscription, which was a nice surprise.

Did you know that the losing pitcher Henderson Alvarez threw a no-hitter in the last game of the year in 2013 for Miami? Pretty unbelievable actually...

Scott - Yes! I did know about Alvarez's No-No last year. That was a 1-0 game too if I recall. It was a great day all around. :)

I was wondering - when they bring out the game-used balls late in the game, do you know if they were bringing out Zimmerman-pitched baseballs? Just curious - I would think that if a no-hitter was in progress, they would hold their balls (pun intended); otherwise, what an opportunity for the fans to pick up no-hitter balls.

Scott - I checked the Authentics stand on my way out and couldn't tell. Looked like they had a few from the game labeled for sale, but were asking $100+ per ball, so I didn't see anyone buying them. I was with my pregnant wife who graciously let us stay to see the entire game, but was wanting to get home afterwards so I couldn't linger.

It was one of the best games I've been to, that's for sure. And Denard Span getting his 184th hit, which is a new club single season record, was nice to see, but overshadowed by the no hitter.

$100 or so for a no-hitter I attended?...sign me up.

I now have 320 out of the 407 cards signed (79%), including 54 different HOFers and 187 deceased signatures.

My wife and son got to go on the field for an Angels/Twins batting practice. My son was able to get a couple of Mike Trout autographs along with quite a few pictures. He also had a picture of him and Josh Hamilton from a prior meeting signed. Here is one of the Trout items he had signed.

Great autograph, but he has lousy signature.

Zimmerman pitched baseballs are on MLB auctions and going for a lot. I know some teams and I'm guessing most do it, if there's a no hitter or a perfect game through say like 5 innings. They will stop selling the items and hold onto them. I find it hard to believe the nats would be selling no hit baseballs for $100 no matter who pitched it or what.
