Here are some of my favorite Baseball images on a sports card - the 1933 Goudey Charlie Gehringer. The 1911 T206 Home Run Baker, Elmer Valo's 1957 Topps and Eddie Stanky's 1952 Bowman and the 1950 Bowman Ferris Fain.

How about the Williard Chocolate of Cobb? Leon, I think you could help me with a scan. Please.

Not Leon, but an amazing simulation. Here is a V100 Willard's of Cobb pulled from the internet. I assume it is this one from 1923, and not the much smaller and less interesting 1924 Willard's of Ty.

I have also always loved that image of Ted Kluszewski but I do not own one (although I did get my daughter one for her birthday a few years ago). The closest I have is this 19th century version which is my favorite pose on any of the cdvs I own.

Growing up as a Mets fan, this was always one of my favorites.

I can be a bit fickle, so I might answer this question differently next month.

I stopped following pro football years ago. But my wife, as a born and raised Ohioan who has lived in Norman, OK for nearly 25 years, follows the Browns now. I found this card at a show last weekend and ostensibly bought it for her, though I really like how it captures the gritty nature of football back in the day.

Brian, thanks for posting the scan and ,yes, that is the card indeed. I love that Ty seems to be enjoying playing in a sand lot game.

I feel like it kind of gets a bad rap, but the '54 Bowman Campy I think has a great and fitting portrait. He was in a lot of pain in '54, and it shows. That card won't win any "best image" contests, but I love it.

Here is the 1954 Bowman of Campanella pulled from the web...Roy does seem to be barely holding back a grimace.

Always loved how careworn his face looks. In my opinion, this is one card that looks better roughed up a bit, to match the wear on Satch

And then here's Koufax, just pure energy coming down hill at you

Fritz Ostermueller was born in Quincy which is 25 miles from where I live. He's buried there also. He died way to soon before I could have a chance to meet him.
Was given a raw deal in the film 42. He wasn't like that.
