But seriously, I plan to liquidate most of my stuff in retirement as an ongoing business while refining down to cards I really enjoy. A few cards from my childhood won't be sold. Not a great financial hardship to my family...I don't think anyone will be banging down the doors for this one:

One of my childhood cards was/is a '52B Dropo. It would have been pushing NM if not for some strange staining. Really glad I sent it to the very gracious Moose from Moosup to be signed so many years ago. Still have it, and it won't be going anywhere.

I have tons of records. I find it's easiest to pretend they don't exist.

The 5000 count monster boxes, when full, are starting to give me grief. I'm big and can certainly handle the lifting from a weight perspective, but it's affecting my muscles and tendons or whatever. I got rid of nearly all of them and switched out to 3200 count. I'm sure it's only another couple million eye blinks until I'm down to 250 count thimbles and sucking down cream corn with a straw.

The Lajoie is essentially a glorified post-playing days insert card. Great backstory, though.

I'll stop collecting when I take my forever nap.
