We have slowed down again, so I would like to repeat my request from 3 days ago in case some members missed my request.



I have noticed that this thread has had plenty of visits, and at this time it seems we have hit a wall. I believe many more members are interested and want to be a part of the raffle, but they are in a "wait and see mode". At this time, if any members are waiting to see the volume of the turn out before they request their entries, I ask you to place your requests for entries now. I am not telling you that you have to pay up front, you can wait and see before making your payment. As long as we get the payment 1 week after the last entry is sold, that is fine.
But request your entries now, and you will then see other members also come forward. I truly believe that.

er um I mean one more :( Sorry - I just got caught up in all the excitement.
A thought for the next piece might be to let a little more time pass between offererings. I don't think it's the increase in cost from the last lottery causing the sluggish pace - rather it's the somewhat limited pool from which we're drawing. Maybe as I hope it's much ado about nothing and it all goes as planned.

I am in the process now of notifying some of the members who were in the last one, that I have not heard from for this 2nd event. Hope it will bring out some more interest.
I posted in the info thread some time ago, that the next one will be about a year or so from now. Graig is backed up a bit and it would be good to give everyone a little breather from the first two. I also would like to meet everyone at the national next July.

The final deadline to reserve entries for the raffle is November 9th at 8 PM Eastern. As you may have noted, sales of the second half of the available entries have slowed to a crawl, and the raffle shows serious signs of not selling out. Graig has decided that, regardless of whether the raffle sells through, there will be a winner of the full 20x28 painting originally announced. Please be aware though that if the raffle does not sell through (meaning Graig winds up cutting his rates substantially for this painting), this may be the last time he offers his work via raffle. No doubt Graig has a heart bigger than Yankee Stadium, and he is not doing this for the money, but he's still got to eat! So when I say this is your final chance to enter a raffle for a customized Graig Kreindler painting, it may be just that.

as primarily a 19th century nonsports guy - should I win - it will be an interesting decision to have to make. Much of the depth I find in Greg's paintings lends itself to a more "modern" look.

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to thank you all for stepping up to the plate for this newer raffle. I know that there probably was a bit of a 'harrumph' when it was mentioned that there was going to be a price increase, and I'm sure that's responsible for the pace that this thing has taken on. In the end, just know that whoever wins will still be getting a painting I'm putting 100% of my life-force into, whether it fills completely or not.

Either way, I'm excited to be tackling something for one of you at a larger size than the last time, as it can certainly open up some more fun opportunities, image-wise. And certainly, whenever the painting is hung in your home/office/trashbin, it'll definitely have a nice presence because of those extra inches.

Also, a big thanks to Bill and Lance for making this whole thing possible. They've been super kind enough to spend their time crunching logistics, putting the event together, and fielding questions - I couldn't be happier with or more grateful for how they've handled it all.

So again, thank you so much for getting in on this raffle, especially if it does end up being the last one. I'm really thrilled that I'm able to give back to you guys even a fraction of the love you've shown me this past five years.

Hey Graig,

Hope this won't be the last raffle. I think maybe try it as a annual event at the same time each year. Maybe opening day, or the all-star break or the World Series. Sometime when everyone has baseball on the brain and knows it's coming. Maybe could try the smaller size painting again for a lower price point also.

I think if it became a once a year type event that people expected and could look forward to, it may get draw more demand.

Got my fingers crossed on this one!

You could also post a poll first before the next raffle if there is one to gauge interest on what percent would rather have higher $ prices for big painting vs. a smaller cheaper raffle....

Maybe encourage everyone who wants to buy a raffle ticket to vote on the poll to get a rough idea of how many interested people there are and for which size.
