Hello,

I am not much for posting. But I have been reading the site for the last couple of years.

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Shawn Longley
Pete Sorensen

Both for dinner. Probably not drinks as we need to drive back to Wisconsin after the party.

Thanks
Shawn

final tally of 168 - largest ever

SO the final tally is 168 RSVP's......with 148 coming to the Dinner portion and 20 coming afterwards. I will be turning in the food order on Monday or Tuesday so if anyone's plans change, that rsvp'd, please let me know asap. Please remember there is the Legendary Auction that night and most of those 20 folks coming after dinner are the ones going to it first, which is perfectly fine. If you didn't realize that auction was the same night, and want to go there instead of the dinner and come over afterwards, no problem, please let me know. I will have the RSVP spreadsheet with me and if you aren't on it you won't be coming to the dinner for dinner or drinks. You can show up and security will gladly escort you out. If you think because you are a friend you didn't have to register, you will be speaking with security as they show you the door.

If my best friend in the world was throwing a party and he asked everyone to RSVP, then I would do it, or realize I wouldn't be attending. Same here.....

Depends if other security is available. I am sure no one would want to be somewhere they aren't invited.

Also, for the record, the RSVP's are closed. If you haven't RSVP'd then we might see you next year if we have a Dinner. The RSVP's were open for about 2 1/2 weeks and everyone that is a board member had a chance. IF there is some extraordinary situation email me. Thanks again for the 160+ that will be having dinner with us....

Have the speakers been announced for the dinner? I'm looking forward to attending my first National.
Kevin

speakers

The speakers will be either Josh Evans (Lelands) or Mike Heffner (Lelands), Mike Berkus (who started and runs the National) and John Rogers of The Sporting News Archives. They will start at 7:15ish so please get over to the Dinner early...doors open at 6:30....

Josh has been quite sick lately, lymphoma, and I hope everyone will say a little prayer for him ... He will be a game day decision on speaking depending on how he feels.

Wow, didn't know that about Josh. My thoughts are with him. Get well soon!
