I just got these signed this past weekend. Sept 30, 1980 a rookie Rickey Henderson breaks Ty Cobb’s AL single season stolen base record. April 10, 1980 HOFer Harold Baines makes his MLB debut.

signed ticket to September 3rd 1975, The best arm I've ever seen in Baseball Ellis Valentine has his MLB DEBUT, he wasted no time showing off his arm with 2 outfield assists , in the 5th inning on a flyball to RF by Larry Bowa he threw out Dave Cash coming back to 1st base to complete the double play , then in the 8th inning he threw out Larry Bowa at home plate and if that is not enough he prevented Garry Maddox, the husband of his high-school counselor, from hitting an inside-the-park home run. With one out and two on in the Phillies’ third, Maddox hit a liner that got by Expos center fielder Pepe Mangual for a triple. A reporter asked Maddox if he thought of circling the bases.“Yeah, I did,” he said. “But (Valentine) did a good job of running it down and he can throw. Funny thing is my wife used to counsel him when he was in high school

This was my only ticket pickup at this years National. This 1971 All Star Game ticket has long been on my want list. The fact that Reggie took my man Dock Ellis deep connects it to my 1971 Bucs obsession. This was also Clemente’s last All Star Game appearance. When I asked Reggie to sign the ticket I asked him to inscribe it “Off the Roof!” As that was Curt Gowdy’s famous call. Reggie smiled and said, “Gowdy was wrong on that call. That ball was over the roof! Do you mind if I correct him and sign it that way?” Who the hell am I to disagree with Mr. October?
|
Great story. Gowdy called it as "off the transformer" light tower. Video isnt good enough to verify. I was 11 eating a bag of cheese popcorn and drinking a coke after I got the bottle cap with Tony Oliva off it, about 2 feet from a black and white TV.

Thanks Batman! Why does that sound so campy LOL! Here’s a recent addition to my Stargell memorable moments ticket collection. May 8, 1973, Pops literally goes yard at Dodger Stadium. It was his second homer of his career to land in the parking lot. He is the only man to do it twice.
After witnessing Stargell’s Los Angeles blast Hall of Fame pitcher Don Sutton said, “I never saw anything like it. He doesn't just hit pitchers, he takes away their dignity.” |

1908 York Beach Maine Ticket/Pass.
York beach only existed for one 25 game partial season in the 1908 class D Maine State League. The back has some identification that I can't make out. Can't imagine too many of these are kicking around. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...3021abb073.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...198aa1ab12.jpg |

Aaron Judge 3 HR game yesterday

6' 7" 282 lb Aaron Judge just had his first career 3 HR game, which gives him a total of 247 career homers.
5'9" 180 lb Mookie Betts has now been tied by Judge for career homers. Judge has some work to do to catch Betts in the 3 HR game count, as Betts along with Johnny Mize and Sammy Sosa each have 6 games with a trio of homers. Here are tickets for four of Mookie's 3 HR games |

Reds would win this one 6-3 on homers by Billy Hatcher and Mariano Duncan off of Zane Smith. Just one more stop along the way to the Reds 1990 World Series Championship. |

Just picked up at the last Hunt auction this Babe Ruth Day ticket. Only 7 have been graded by PSA, which surprises me since lots of people went to the game.

To fund several recent purchases and a college payment. I too have added a few items to the REA Fall auction. I have seen a few people post their items, so hopefully this is ok on this page for the ticket collectors. I reluctantly added my Jordan debut ticket. I am pleased to see a PSA 2 just sold last night for $50k. That seemed to be the first one that sold in a while from what I have noticed.

"Thank you very much, ladies and gentlemen. You know how bad my voice sounds -- well it feels just as bad. You know this baseball game of ours comes up from the youth. That means the boys. And after you're a boy and grow up to know how to play ball, then you come to the boys you see representing themselves today in your national pastime, the only real game -- I think -- in the world, baseball. As a rule, some people think if you give them a football, or a baseball, or something like that -- naturally they're athletes right away. But you can't do that in baseball. You've gotta start from way down [at] the bottom, when you're six or seven years of age. You can't wait until you're fifteen or sixteen. You gotta let it grow up with you. And if you're successful, and you try hard enough, you're bound to come out on top -- just like these boys have come to the top now. There's been so many lovely things said about me, and I'm glad that I've had the opportunity to thank everybody. Thank you." -Babe Ruth (Also, crazy to think he was only 53 when he died in 1948,,,,,,looked and sounded like 80/90) |
