2 Attachment(s)
Louis M. "Lou" Sleater. Pitcher with the Washington Senators in 1952. 12 wins and 4 saves in 7 MLB seasons. He was a left-handed knuckle-ball specialist. He debuted with the St. Louis Browns in 1950-1952. In 1952, he allowed Walt Dropo's 12th straight hit and then stopped his reaching base streak at 12. His best season was probably 1957 with the Detroit Tigers as he posted a 3-3 record with a 3.76 ERA in 69.1 innings pitched. He ended his career with the Baltimore Orioles in 1958.
