I'm so happy...and broke. If I need to take a little spending sabbatical, well, it is well worth it. With Cracker Jack and this off my list, I'm going to take a breather before going after a T205 one-ear, a T206 Pink and one of the bread cards. Until then...I'm going to just enjoy this one! Thanks Craig...

After quite some time on Net54 this is my first attempt at an attachment, sure hope it works! I found these two weeks ago, all five have been glued in an album. So far I have been afraid to try any soaking or other attempt to remove the paper from the album. If this is too large or too small I apologize in advance!Attachment 86949

Excited

Just arrived today, pretty excited about it.

Featured here - http://www.t206museum.com/page/periodical_81.html

Tax stamp is 1909. Factory 240, 1st District of PA. I believe that factory was known for producing T205s or T207s, but after the 1909 date I'm sure.

Still a sweet piece of history for me to own.

Nice Wood!

Kenny,
I love that Smokey Joe Wood!
Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone, but isn't that a really tough M116 to get?

Kenny Cole 02-07-2013 07:50 PM

Thanks Tim. I've been after one of these for quite some time.

Super-psyched about this pickup, finally feel like I have something that deserves posting in this section!

Card is not in-hand just yet, but I couldn't wait!

I know it's not a big deal but I just received in the mail today, the Boston Herald from April 5, 1913 with Plank, Chief Bender and Jack Coombs on the front page of the sports section. I'm going to get it nicely framed and put it in my office here at home.

Sure Chris. Glad you're happy.

And for me, I was finally able to acquire Jesse Burkett for my HOF collection. It's been on my list for years and years. Feels really good cross him off. CozmoKramer - congrats on owning that pack. really a cool item.

bcbgcbrcb 02-08-2013 10:45 AM

Nice pick-up, Peter. I was thinking of buying one in very similar condition from 707 Sportscards, was that it?

Peter, he's listed as a 'manager', so I don't think Keith Olberman would allow it to count for your HOF collection. Sorry!

Great cards everyone! First time I have ever seen the 1951 Hage's Dairy Cleveland Indians Ray Boone, cool card.

Also just love the Greenbergs, the 38's my favorite of his and the exhibit auto is awesome, grats.

markf31 02-09-2013 08:40 AM

Just arrived today.
2 more to add to my HOF collection.
A tough Boston Store and....wait for it...my first T206 (very clean EPDG back).
I think the Kelley presents very well, despite the paper loss on the front and couldn't beat the price.

GaryPassamonte 02-11-2013 04:57 AM

Packs,
I would say your cabinet is circa 1880.

cozmokramer 02-11-2013 06:44 AM

Pete,

Thanks for the words. I've never been a pack guy before and having this creates a level of excitement I have not felt from acquiring any of the cards I've bought over the past few years.

Now I need another one.
