Some great Brooklyn Dodgers material currently up for bidding in the Heritage Auction closing November 4th & 5th, including an awesome 1935 jersey worn by Tony Cuccinello and a pair of pants from the legendary Roy Campanella:

That's a GREAT image Anthony! Congrats on the pick-up. I would LOVE to see what that would look like after Graig got his hands and paint brushes on that puppy! :)

I agree with Jimmy on this one. Perfect for Graig!

Matt,
I believe that your scorecard was one sold by independent street venders outside the stadium (Ebbet's Field). Kevin O's 1941 World Series scorecard was the one sold inside the stadium. This was a common practice at many baseball stadiums (Shea, Busch, Detroit Tiger Stadium, Wrigley) until at least the early 1990's.

I hope this helps.

Here's a cool old Dodgers (well, technically "Superbas") celluloid mirror Heritage sold for $3100 and change back in 2005. I've never seen one since.

Let's resurrect this thread...

I started it in August of '09 and the last post we had was from Nov. 2010. Almost ALL of my Dodger stuff I had posted here has found new homes, and I rolled the funds from the stuff I sold into what's in my collection now. I'm sure that between all of what the new member's can show along with the Dodger pick-ups that the veterans have acquired over the last 18 months, there should be plenty of great stuff to show, so don't be shy!

You all know the story here with this iconic TYPE 1 photograph of Sandy Koufax as he manhandles the Yanks at the Stadium in the opening game of the 1963 Fall Classic. Koufax was on his way to a record breaking 15 K game that set the tone for the Dodgers to sweep the Bombers, effectively ending (for awhile anyways) New York's dominance in winning World Series titles dating back to 1923. The Bronx faithful would have to wait another 13 years before they could once again claim their place as champs of the Baseball World!

This is the only other Dodger piece I have left in my collection other than the 8 x 10 of Robby Stealing Home in the '55 Series - and a 9 panel sequential of the same play that I started the thread with almost three years ago!

Jimmy,
Very cool thread and some amazing items! I admit to being somewhat of a closet Dodger fan. Here are a some of my favorite pieces of Dodger memorabilia from my collection I haven't seen pictured yet. The Drysdale Spalding Advisory piece measures 11X14 and is printed on thin paper stock. I have never come across another similar example. I think it was a store display piece but cannot be certain. Any information anyone else has would be appreciated. The Drysdale photo is from his rookie year and the Robinson photo is from the 1956 tour of Japan. It is one of my favorites considering his relationship with his wife and that it was taken shortly before his retirement. Thanks Mike.

[B]Not sure if this is legit or made up. The statue is vintage to the 50's, but I've never seen it with the Ebbets Field plaque in the front. It's still an interesting piece.

I also included a Brooklyn Dodgers team photo pin. I love this series.
