Didn't even notice that!

Looks like a fake to me too. 68’s have a gray stock and that picture makes it look like it has white paper stock. And really someone with zero feedback that’s the first card you bid on cries hanky panky. When it first came up I thought it looked short also.
He also has a 52 mantle for sale it’s at $8 for those of you that think it’s real like this card.
Rick

But I think you are spot on! Wow!

His looks a bit short l/r also - anyone have experience if that is common for the issue?

Yes, they are all short the long way. I've seen at least 10 of them and every one of them was short. PSA undoubtedly allows a tolerance on them or else none would be graded if they had to be exact.

Sorry for the basic question, which may have been answered somewhere in here already. Do all 1959 Venezuelan cards have the "IMPRESO EN VENEZUELA POR BENCO C.A" line in them? Or is it some do, some don't?

I wish they did, but roughly half of them do and half of them have Printed In USA. The low numbers 1-110 are easy to tell because they are gray back and the Topps are white back, but the high numbers 111-198 are the same gray color backs as Topps 111-198. There are also 1959 Venezuelan variation cards with cream color backs to make it more confusing but they are very rare. The first 59 Venezuelan card is a gray back with Impreso En Venezuela, the second 59 Venezuelan card is a gray back with Printed In USA, the third 59 Venezuelan card is a cream back with Impreso En Venezuela, the fourth 59 Venezuelan card is a cream back with Printed In USA.

I just completed a type run of the Vennie's with a 59 cream Impreza back I just picked up. Very interesting issues for the decade they were issued.

Can someone enlighten me as to why the 1977 Venezuela Nolan Ryan carries a price premium over all others in the same set? It doesn't seem to be any more scarce, even by PSA counts (even though I know it is likely submitted more frequently than lesser players).

Just thought I would get input from the experts around here.

I have 10 Braves cards from the 64 Venz set I'm looking to trade or sell. If anyone wants details, either pm me here or email: dbesse27@hotmail.com

Probably the same reason the 1968 Venezuelan Ryan/Koosman goes for way more than any other 1968 Venezuelan card, there is a huge demand for it. The 1968 Venezuelan Clemente is a far distant second.

Hello all, I have been collecting 68 Venezuela now for about a year with distance intentions of completing the set in PSA 2 or above. I am curious as to what to do with this Nolan. Do you all think it will get MK for that mark on the back left side or should I just keep it in this grade? I don't want qualifiers and plan on keeping it for the collection. This is the highest SGC on file (there are only 3 of them total). Thank you and looking forward to getting to know you all.

Matt
