Alan Strout

Thanks, Mark. I was so sad to hear this news last week. I believe his obituary is on his FB page. Like you, Alan was a constant and huge source of information on anything related to the Orioles. His knowledge on cards, scorecards, photos, post cards and the oddest of odd ball stuff was unmatched. I connected with him several years ago and “bothered” him at least weekly. He was a genuinely nice guy. He actually visited my home last year and I met with him this year during spring training. His knowledge and personality will be missed. His collection with scorecards and photos/postcards were unmatched. Prayers to his family. Thanks, Mark, for mentioning this.

Oh no, this is horrible news.......I know he hadn't posted much lately, but I figured that he hadn't acquired anything new.

Back in the spring of '23 I had the good fortune of going to a Spring Training game with him and afterwards going to his apartment (a short walk from Ed Smith Stadium) and seeing a portion of his amazing collection....

RIP Alan

Rest Easy Alan, not many people who consistently only post useful good information and stay out of drama and other stuff.
