Vintage Spalding Ashtray

George Burke made these display pieces using a photograph mounted to plywood that was then cut and set into a base so that it could stand up. This was Joe Cronin's personal display. Unfortunately the bat and hand had broken off.

That's an interesting sign behind the photo of Jimmie Foxx. Does it say" no baseballs autographed" and endorsed by the manager? Was that a team policy?
