Glad to add a few wrappers to my 1933 & 1934 sets. You can see Goudey's transition across those 1933 wrappers from a) "Free picture of Babe Ruth" -- sending a single Ruth premium to b) "Pictures of big league stars" -- their 4-card set of both All-Star teams and that year's World Champs.

Antelope Montana, population 43, median income today $16,500
1 Attachment(s)
Great stuff so far. Here is an rppc of a game in Antelope Montana...seems most or all of the town showed up for it. It looks a bit sparse though. Where are the bathrooms?
From Wiki - "As of the census[5] of 2000, there were 43 people, 21 households, and 11 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 532.7 people per square mile (207.5/km²). There were 24 housing units at an average density of 297.3 per square mile (115.8/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 100.00% White. There were 21 households out of which 23.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 38.1% were married couples living together, 4.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 47.6% were non-families. 47.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.05 and the average family size was 3.00. In the CDP, the population was spread out with 18.6% under the age of 18, 16.3% from 18 to 24, 14.0% from 25 to 44, 34.9% from 45 to 64, and 16.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 46 years. For every 100 females there were 168.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 169.2 males. The median income for a household in the CDP was $16,500, and the median income for a family was $16,500. Males had a median income of $21,250 versus $15,250 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $5,455. There were 28.6% of families and 22.4% of the population living below the poverty line, including 26.9% of under eighteens and none of those over 64." |

Picked up my fourth t206 with this unique writing on the back. The original owner would write the year and the position with what looks like fountain pen.
Shout out to Pat R., who's found two of these for me. Let me know if you have any like this (and are interested in selling/trading). |

Very nice Cobb, Jeff... And Glenn, great card -- you should show the back...and good luck on the unique writing endeavour, Tony.
A very big thank you to Matt for this one! |

...in it's entirety, still gives me goose bumps: “It is played everywhere. In parks and playgrounds and prison yards. In back alleys and farmers' fields. By small children and old men. Raw amateurs and millionaire professionals. It is a leisurely game that demands blinding speed. The only game in which the defense has the ball. It follows the seasons, beginning each year with the fond expectancy of springtime, and ending with the hard facts of autumn. It is a haunted game, in which every player is measured against the ghosts of all who have gone before. Most of all, it is about time and timelessness. Speed and grace. Failure and loss. Imperishable hope. And coming home.” - John Chancellor, Narrator in Ken Burns’ ‘Baseball’ |

T207 Pat Moran
1 Attachment(s)
Picked up another Patrick Moran T207 that took a little longer to reach me. The seller, who I have previously purchased cards from, accidentally mailed me an Otto Knabe T207 instead of the Moran T207 I won.
First time I have ever received the wrong card in 30 years of collecting. Better late than never. Patrick |

Jeff, Pied. 350 Tubby ...................... :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
Few back up grades: Two Sov. 350 ---> 150 Two Date Stamp HOFs Attachment 347791 Two "toughies." Cycle Sweeney is a card that has eluded me for a long time...... McLean only non-Pied/SC backs are Carolina Brights (out of my range), EPDG, PB, and Tolstoi. I was discussing my back upgrade wish list with my friend Luke. We agreed that McLean is probably one of the hardest, and I figured my PB (which is pretty tough anyway) would be fine ......... A few days later I was sitting on my front porch (next to collecting T206, it's my other hobby :)) watching the azaleas bloom. My mail man scans, and hands me a package; not expecting anything. See it's form Luke, open, and inside is the Tolstoi McLean !!!!!! (Oh, btw, Luke refused any compensation, just reconfirming for the n'th time, what a great guy his is :):):):):)) Fun, Fun, Scott :rolleyes: |

That is a wonderful gesture by Luke., Congrats on the pickups...
