Picked up recently at a garage sale

Yankee Stadium?

number on metal 3490 on center 349L on end

My triple has the same. Under the brackets that holds the seat wood, it has 19R or 19L

But your numbering is alot different than mine. Also can't tell, any sea foam green popping thru?

The legs have the above numbers the seat bracket has the same as yours. Paint looks like it was stripped as the under blue is white

I don't know but to me the numbers don't look right for Yankee stadium seats I may be wrong

they have been repainted and the seat numbers are vinyl. we are talking about the numbers on the metal parts

Can the numbers on the metal help tell what stadium a seat is from?

I have one that I thought was Fenway, but I'm sort of convinced it's actually Yankee Stadium.

It's like the one above with straight slats.

Not sure, would have to look at other vintage chairs to see what they had. Cause the numbers would just be casting numbers for stadium seats or whatever

So the style seats were used in other stadiums besides Yankee stadium. It's a generic seat style. Without the original paint on the seat it impossible to say that it's from Yankee stadium.

Kevin...that Yankee hat.....my friend has the exact hat in great condition that was passed down to him from his father. He had asked me months ago to find a value on it but I had forgotten about it until I saw it here.

Can I be forward and ask about value on that hat?

khkco4bls 10-10-2020 06:26 AM

The hat value is 75 to 100 dollars

Mine is original paint.

The same seats were in Fenway, and last time I was there they still were. (Grandstand, sections 1 and 2 and probably others.
And of course, they used pretty much the same green at one point.

When I bought it, they said it was from a relative who had worked on a renovation and kept one of the seats. There's a sticker - nothing special, just a sticker like you can get in any office supply with an apparent date that doesn't match any major renovation, but does match a reduction in seating capacity for Yankee stadium. Why/how it would then end up in suburban Boston in 1983 is a slight puzzle.
