Re-introduction: Hello All

I'm not new here but have been inactive for about 5 years, so I thought I would say hello again. When I first joined and posted, I was seeking knowledge and my focus was on buying (primarily to sell) and selling.

I've taken a step back from that and while I still look for a bargain or small collection from time to time, I am more focused on buying for my PC. I do have a lot of "extras" or things that don't fit what I look for, singles left over from sets, etc, so I do sell from time to time.

My main focus in collecting now is working on a high end 1975 set. I have the complete set, but am continually looking to upgrade. Hopefully, I can get to the point where I have every card in AT LEAST centered NM condition with most being NM-MT or better. It's a long tedious process. I buy both PSA graded and raw. Since 2022, I have added 75 or so PSA 8s or 9s and another 200 NM-MT or better raw cards. The set I had was largely EX-EXMT or better to start with.

I'm also a big Don Mattingly fan, having grown up in the same town and played for the same HS Coach. I can remember watching him play in HS when I was 10-11 years old. He was a hero to me long before he got to NY.

Lastly, I'm a Vintage guy (mostly post-war) and what I buy there is kind of all over the place. I don't have a specific focus outside of my '75s' I love 50's and 60's and am learning to appreciate the other 70's years as well. I pretty much do a hard brake around 1984-85. I joke that I am allergic to all of the shiny stuff past 1987. I do have a few modern cards, but more due to stumbling into them, than focusing on them in any way.

Sorry for the long post! I have interacted with some folks here before and look forward to doing so again.
Chris
