question about OJ player identity

Posted By: craig
i was going through my OJ's today and was trying to figure out the year for one of them. the card is john mcglone, tagging player, cleveland's. my card is well trimmed all the way around, barely any border left. i decided to check out a comparison on dave's site www.gfg.com. he had 3 mcglone's but none tagging. however on all 3, the player pictured showed a clean shaven easily recognizable face. the face matched the sliding player on the mcglone tagging card not the person actually doing the tagging. i am curious if i am correct. please oh wise collectors put my mind at ease.

i will try to post a scan tomorrow

thanks

question about OJ player identity

Posted By: Joe_G.
I track cards of McGlone and others that can be found with Detroit. This was pose #1 of 5 of McGlone with the Cleveland example being an 1888 card (type Fb). The Detroit version (International League) is an 1889 copy.

Regards,
Joe Gonsowski
