New arrivals! Pretty penny invested in these babies, thought everyone would like seeing them

Will be looking for the right auction house, though hate to see these go!

Obviously, your big ones are REA and Heritage. Recommend you get them reslabbed by PSA in their lighthouse label/holder before you consign them, as I believe that would increase their resale value above the cost of the reholder.

thanks for the tip! damn hate to mail these!!

You could take them to the National in a few months, reslab on site, and talk with the various auctionhouses there.

you are on it, in Chicago right?

I think either of those houses would be happy to get them reslabbed for you. Can't recommend REA highly enough.

REA has a July Auction starting this year. Heritage April is probably too late to make the catalog.

REA is your best bet to maximize return. I would contact Brian D. himself. I suspect he will be glad to re-holder those two for you.

Sweet cards! I have always loved that Kelly. One of these days...

Make sure that you get them into the catalog -- if you missed the date for that, I would wait for the next auction (unless you are in a hurry).

Damon, not only is REA your best choice IMHO, but REA also should be a most convenient option for you because I assume you will be attending the nearby Chantilly Show at the end of this month. REA is a sponsor of this Show and they will be set up there, as usual.

REA is a great auction house, but I’m perplexed as to why people say REA is clearly the best choice. Didn’t Heritage just get over $600,000 for a mid-grade T210 Jackson?

Heritage deadline for their upcoming April auction was late Feb, don't know if they can make an exception try calling Derek there if you want to give it a try. They have been great for me.

Really nice cards! What a strange road that Ewing has taken. Just looking back at past auction results. Sold for $16k in 2005, $15k in 2006, $10k in 2012 then $11k in 2014. Appears it was re-holdered after the 2012 sale. Can't see a pic of it from 2014. Should do quite well, I would imagine!! Best of luck!

I submitted a 33 Goudey Lajoie, graded SGC 2, and a 1935 National Chicle Nagurski, graded SGC 5.5 (among others), to Heritage at the Philly show this past weekend and was assured that they would be included in the catalog for the upcoming auction starting late March - so it may not be too late (and since we are allowing backdoor promotion of cards for sale on the front page....)
