Red Sox Photos Identification Help

12 Attachment(s)
Hi-

I have a group of photos of Red Sox players that I cannot identify that I want to add to my player collection. I am really bad at matching names to faces. Can anyone please help with the photos scanned below? Most are from the 1950s. I can provide better scans if needed. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Alan,
From the top: ?, Jackie Jensen, Lou Boudreau, George Kell, Dom DiMaggio, Del Wilber, Leo Kiely, Johnny Lipon (?), Mickey McDermott, Dizzy Trout, Hoot Evers, Dennis Bennett.

The first one is Tom Herrin, from the 1954 Picture Pack

#7 is Dick Gernert, as seen on his 1952 Topps card, NOT Leo Kiely

The rest of the players SPEC listed I think checks out.

Thank you both! I really appreciate all of the information! I am excited to add these to my Red Sox collection as I collect one image of each player who played for the Sox. My preference is photos but I take anything I can get. I am going very slowly (I think I have roughly 1/3 of the players) but it is a fun side collection for me that usually doesn't cost much to add to compared to some of my other collections.

Nice catch! Gernert not Kiely. Thanks. Incredible ID on Herrin. I've never heard of thim.

You pitched a strong game, I just came in in the 9th and closed it for you :D

Gernert jumped right out for me because I have both his 1952 Topps card and the 2010 Topps Lineage autograph version, so that exact picture is familiar to me, haha.

I didn't know who Herrin was either, looks like he only pitched 14 games in 1954, but was promoted highly enough as a rookie in Spring Training to get his own picture pack card. I'm versed enough in Red Sox uniform styles that with some picture research I was able to determine his hat came from a 2-3 year span in the mid-50s, so it was a matter of looking through the database of picture pack photos from those years to find the exact Herrin picture pack card.
