My pictures have all been showing up much larger the last few days after some changes were apparently made to the site so surprised to see someone else have one get cut off like Al's did.

Hopefully all is working normal tomorrow. I'd hate to see, especially at the very end of this thread, some good looking Mathews getting getting cut off short.

A recently acquired Cookie Lavagetto that missed the card #365 time slot.
Not in hand yet and not in the best condition but still glad I was able to purchase it.
(Down to needing 12 now)

All but Campy, Dave.

Those other ones sure would have been nice, however!

Congrats Dale, your end for this set is coming into a much clearer focus with only 12 remaining.

1952 TOPPPS set

I'm happy to say that my set does not stop with Mathews. I'm getting close to 555 cards for a master set.
I need 31 more of the Gray-backs (#131 - 190 series). If anybody here has some available, I am a buyer.

Good luck on the grays Ted. Some were posted in this thread, plus all the red and black backs and all the recognized variations, including both Mantles, Robinsons and Thompsons. Did not go back to see how many we were short on a master, but think the only missing ones are grays

From an old CU thread, down to 9 living members of the 52 Topps club. See OP

Thanks for posting that, Al.
With the recent passing of Curt Simmons, I was wondering where that list was and how many were still remaining.

irv 04-10-2023 04:52 PM

Just bumping this thread up, via Zach's 52 Topps variations thread, as I thought those that owned 52 Topps wrappers might like to see this?
I had this listing/wrapper saved in my watch list and just noticed it had sold.
Checking 130 point, the best/accepted offer was for $1,500 U.S.
Highest price I have seen but because this one is torn, maybe some other non torn wrappers have sold for more?
Congrats if anyone here won it?

Thanks Irv for posting the wrapper. I noticed we are missing a bunch of gray backs so thought I would add a gray back of #146 House (orange Tiger).
