Help with a Tim Duncan - Wake Forest Team Signed Basketball 93-94

When I graduated Wake Forest in 1994, I won a Wake Forest team signed basketball in an end of year charity auction. At the time, the biggest value in winning the auction was outbidding one of my professors. Now I think there's more value in Tim Duncan's signature that I'd like to put to some other parts of my collection.

This was Tim's rookie year at Wake Forest. There can't be many similar team signed balls out there.

The autographs on the ball include:
  • Tim Duncan #21
  • Randolph Childress #22
  • Stan King #51
  • Barry Canty #3
  • David Odom (Coach)
  • Charlie Harrison #13
  • Mark Blucas #25
  • Mark Schoone
  • Ricky Peral #44
  • Trelonnie Owens #40

I'm thinking about consigning the ball to an auction house. I was hoping someone with more familiarity might be able to:

1. Recommend the best auction houses for basketball memorabilia
2. Give me a ballpark indication about the value.

I've seen Tim Duncan balls from 2004 with the Spurs go for 1K-2K. I've seen a couple of examples of similar Wake Forest Team signed balls from the 94-95 listed for up to 4.5K.)

That's a nice ball. I'm not sure of the value, but I would recommend SCP Auctions for vintage basketball. If you also have his game worn jerseys from Wake Forest, you will be a very wealthy man. Oh hell yeah. :D

Best of luck !!!

Thanks. I wish I had any game worn jerseys!

Ironically, at the time, me and my friends didn't think that much of Duncan. He was a promising rookie who showed potential but my favorite player on that team was Randolph Childress. With nearly 30 years of hindsight later, I should have become friends with the team's equipment manager. :D
