Ted Williams seal of approval
 

I recently picked up this Ted Williams autographed 8x10 black and white photo that is just beautiful. I am not so experienced with Williams's signature, but I did do my research.. I felt confident about it and am looking to see if anyone would share their opinion on it. I am not sure why the photos are showing up sideways, sorry about that.

Definitely has some of the hallmarks I look for in a good Ted, but I never trust my judgement 100%

Thank you for the response and yes that is how I feel as there is just a feeling of doubt I get from knowing there are tons of forgeries most not very good but others are. Though the Ted Williams forgeries I’ve seen are not even close.

Glad Shelly gave you a good because that is a beautiful photo.

The pen lift on the T worried me, but I'd trust Shelly any day over myself.

Good signature, outstanding image! Anything on the reverse?

Beautiful!! Looks like same image as the 54 Sox team issue photo.

Not really, just his last name and some number. I know sometimes the context of the picture will be written on the reverse. The seller noted it was from spring training 1951, but could not find this picture on the web or anything else about it.

It might be the 1954 team issue, but it looks like a 1951 patch on the left sleeve.

Evidently it's my new hobby...
