Best Places to Buy Cards?
 

Posted By: <b>john henry</b><p>Im new to collecting vintage and rookie cards and I was wondering where to go to find the best deals on them...I was looking on ebay, but a lot of stuff on there seems shady to me....like this company Gem Elite...it looks like they grade and sell their own cards and have a GEM 10 or Mint 9 of everything, but I think they are a fraud..isn't that kind of like me opening a company called best mint cards and grading everything a best mint 10? Do you trust ebay for buying cards?

The grading companies you can really trust, as far as vintage goes, is SGC, PSA and GAI. Beckett grades some vintage cards, but they are out of the element with them. <br /><br />If you are going to buy raw cards, it's best to do so in person so that you can get a feel for what real cards look like. Also get to know and deal with trusted dealers. The links are a good place to start. The BST here is also decent way to find cards.<br /><br />Jay<br><br>Growing old is not optional, growing up is.

The best way to purchase cards if you are not personally sure of their genuineness is to either buy graded cards from the services which Jay has cited, or to buy from our B/S/T, or from a trustworthy dealer; such as those shown in our links, on the Old Cardboard site, or other places or persons who you know that you can trust as honest and knowledgable enuff to know what he is selling.
