1991 Topps Desert Shield PSA 10 Chipper Jones

Just curious if anyone else was following the PSA 10 Chipper that sold on eBay for $20K+ last night....I guess I should not be surprised at the price given the craziness in the market.

Commentary is welcomed on if this trend has or will carry over to other Desert Shield. This set has to be one of the rarest in the junk wax era...

I doubt it will carry over much or the silly prices lasting much longer. It would be great if it does for those selling. Plus I have a amazingly cool Jose Rijo DS print error I would only accept silly money for.

From what I have seen the insane price increases are not on everything, just targeted areas. It has worked great for me. I have been selling hot cards and buying memorabilia that hasn't moved in price or has increased very little.

The 1991 Topps Desert Storm Chipper Jones may be 100% legit (and I hope it is) and this is the first I’ve heard about it, but after the last couple of years when I hear about a key card being a PSA 10 I automatically think that it has been micro trimmed, recolored or some other type of alteration, or the submitter knows someone on the inside and gets preferential treatment. I will probably get sued for defamation now :D.

Cliff—Maybe the fact your thinking on this is apparently an auto response is a mitigating factor :)
