Cooperstown visit tips

My 12 year old son is playing in a travel ball tournament just outside Cooperstown in Oneonta this week so we’ll be going back and forth to Cooperstown all week. I’m super excited to visit the Hall and see their new shoebox treasures display regarding card collecting. Any visiting tips for the town? I’d imagine all the shops on Main St. have over inflated card prices but any shops that might have hard to find oddball Brooklyn Dodgers stuff? Any chance there’s still some hall of famers floating around a week after the ceremony?

Hi Joe. I hope you are enjoying the week here. Most likely no one hanging around after the induction but if you were lucky maybe you got to meet Adrian Beltre this week.

If you stop by the shop we can work with you on the price if you see something you like. I don’t know if I have anything interesting as far as Brooklyn goes but maybe you will find something. Talk to you soon.

Adam- Were you in business when I visited in 1999?

I don't know if I'll ever get back, but if I do, I will be glad to meet another Net54 member.

I went into business and opened my store full time in 2006. I was there in 99 also walking around as a visitor. I hope you can make it back someday.

I had never seen so many porta-potties.

Farmers Museum is nearby and pretty cool. Hell last time I was there they still had the Cardiff Giant. (Or one of the numerous Cardiff Giants.)

Hi Adam,

I am back in California and just noticed you replied. I actually stopped into your store unaware you had responded or I would have mentioned it. Lots of card and memorabilia up and down the street and was fun to look at but I didn't see any deals anywhere. 7th Inning Stretch across the street from you is also a nice store with a very friendly owner. Our big purchase was a custom wiffle ball wood bat at the Cooperstown Bat Co.
