Heavy J Studios raising money with cards

Some of you know me as Jason the mostly pre-1980 collector, but I wanted to share some work I'm doing with cards to raise money for great causes.

I take original cards, mostly from the 1980s, and turn them into one-of-a-kind 1/1 art pieces. I send them to collectors who make donations to the three organizations I've chosen to (unofficially) partner with:
  • Negro Leagues Baseball Museum
  • Dave Parker Foundation (Parkinson's)
  • Kirk Gibson Foundation (Parkinson's)

My take is zero and I spend a good amount on supplies, shipping, etc. Still, I enjoy the work and know I'm making a difference.

You can get the whole story at HeavyJStudios.wordpress.com if you like. Here are a few of my creations, all from original baseball cards. Note that the "Fleer Face" was made from THE card and is hitting the Bay today.

I've received a few of the cards he has done, and they are great! A nice addition for your player collection. It's also a great way to give to the foundations of your favorite players! For transparency, he is a Dodger fan (living outside Chicago...how does that work?), but I have learned not to hold that against him.
