Asking for opinions on this Joe Dimaggio autograph I purchased today. Real deal? Thank you!

Personally, I don't like it. It looks far too shaky and slowly drawn.

I don't believe it to be authentic unfortunately

Too slow and shaky for my liking.

Not authentic.

I kind of figured that. It was a $20 gamble. Thank you for your help

If they priced it at $20 and saw the price tag on the back, I'm guessing the seller already knew it was fake.

i dont even think Vince or Dom took that much time to sign their name so slow and strong

gonefishin 08-29-2022 10:17 AM

I vote no. It doesn't even compare with his autograph in later years.

Right.. and I broke one of my golden rules to not buy an auto out in the wild i.e. Flea Markets but just got caught up in the find so to speak.. I've collected for years and swore I'd never fall for this but alas I did. I should just toss it but I'll keep as a reminder of my foolish purchase.. I knew deep down it was a shaky auto and that D looked way off, but I succumbed to the sale. Live and learn right?..

Thanks and keep collecting..

A small cost to acquire a good example of something forged. On purpose, I have purchased a few 52 Mantle fakes just to keep as a reference. It's amazing how good some of them are.
