I have a Josh Gibson signed baseball. Handed down to me. Haven’t had it certified but has been looked at by multiple experts.

Saw the ball when it was posted on Facebook. Not a autograph expert but pretty sure it ain't legit. Also pretty big red flag selling a 30k plus baseball if legit for only $1,600.

Would love to have a ball owned by Josh Gibson but I agree with our partners on the Forum that it is a big red flag.

A Josh Gibson ball in 2017 sold for $36K at REA Auctions and todays market it would be even more.

1. it would make sense for you to get it authenticated for the money it would be worth to you
2. A picture is needed for any one willing to buy it so they can know what they are buying

I'm actually in the market for a ball signed by Genghis Khan if you have one of those as well.

I'm just curious as to why you looked into who Josh Gibson was but stopped at researching the value of his autograph? Pretty serious ball if it were authentic.

Sounds to me like the experts said it was bad. It would explain why the ball isn't certified. If the ball is good, then would these experts look at it but not certify it?

Probable scammer and is gone. Thanks to the board member who alerted me to this thread. I think this one might have crawled under the door as I don't see good registration information on file. It is always buyer beware. The board isn't just a few hundred guys and girls, like it used to be.

Other than looking nothing like Josh Gibson's signature, that ball looks like he bought it yesterday and threw it around in the dirt for a few hours.
