2020 Barnes & Noble Black Friday Signed Editions
 

Did anyone go check out their local B&N this morning? The sports subjects are David Wright and Megan Rapinoe. Both of my local stores did not get the David Wright book which was disappointing, but they had everything else I was looking for this year. I had no competition at all...I showed up a few minutes before they opened and was the only person there. This year's signed editions were also the least publicized since they began doing this six years ago. They didn't even come out with the list until a few days ago, usually the list is released a month or so before the sale.

This is a neat thing they do annually but the only one I've purchased was the Bobby Orr book a couple of years ago.

Yep, Bobby Orr was last year. I had to drive up to Omaha for that one as neither of my local stores had it.

Is the Natalie Portman book signed? Can I see an image of her signature? I'd love to find one here I may have to go take a look this weekend and see if there are any left.

Photo from ebay listing. Sadly I doubt your store will have any of hers left. They sold out of them very quickly because they bring good money on ebay. Last week they were going for around $200 on ebay, right now they're down around the $100 mark.

I got several Portman, Jerry Seinfeld, Ernest Cline, Jimmy Fallon.

I went back later and grabbed a Cline.

Seemed like people were going mainly for Portman and Fallon in my area.

I ended up with:

1 Portman
3 McConaughey
11 Buttigieg
3 Seinfeld
2 Rapinoe

I just wanted one Seinfeld and my store was out. Wouldn't care to sell one for close to sticker price, perchance?

Any whispers about some autographs being secretarial?

I did not buy any, but both the McConaughey (1) and Rapinoe (2) signed edition books were in stock and on display at my Local B&N.

Have not heard any this year...so far.
