Another No-Hitter in this young season.
White Sox lefty Carlos Rodon loses out in the 9th for a perfect game but ends with a no hitter. Start looking for tickets gentlemen.

No hard tickets to be had, unfortunately. :( Great game for Rondon, BTW! |
That totally sucks!

One bit of trivia from the game. Tony LaRussa is the only manager in mlb history to manage in 2 no hit games in each league.

Joe Cowley (CWS) 1986 vs. CAL Dave Stewart (OAK) 1990 vs. TOR Jose' Jimenez (STL) 1999 vs. ARI* Bud Smith (STL) 2001 vs. SD* *Both Jimenez and Smith pitched their no-hitters in their rookie seasons. |
Another piece of trivia from the game that surprised me:
The White Sox have the second highest number of no hitters of any team, second only to the Dodgers. I guess part of this is a longevity of the franchise sort of thing, but I was surprised to hear it. |
Totally loved it when Rodon was play-yelling at Perez for not getting out of the way.

I wasn't really wasn't aware of him or his story before last night, but what a likeable guy. Great story. Seems like it couldn't have happened to a more deserving guy. I was convinced he was going to fall apart after the HBP, but he just shrugged it off and rolled on.
