Fake e90-2 on eBay
2 Attachment(s)
Just wanted to alert the folks here about a fake e90-2 Wagner
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1910-E90-2-...sAAOSwS8he-Nnt I am not sure if anyone agrees, but isn't a tell-tale sign that an e90-2 is fake if the top border has the middle design (also, blurrier and wider distance. between lines)? See below: FAKE Attachment 407692 REAL Attachment 407693 |
Pattern of "aging" on the reverse looks like it was done yesterday. I don't think you see that pattern on vintage cardboard (though would be interested to see examples if they exist).

Your image labels and sentences seem to be at odds.

Oldest previous sale is a Lemieux rookie and he's got three negatives (and a positive for a poor description and a return) recently. I'm sure it's good...

I am hardly an e90-2 expert, but I do look at a lot of Wagners and I do not recall that little design ever being on the back of any. It would certainly give me serious pause. That said, why would anyone ever buy a raw card like that online? Even if it didn’t have that design, I would never buy that card, or any card of that value and age, raw, having never been able to inspect in person - you are only inviting trouble

Raw HOF. No returns. Some questionable feedback. Sure .. absolutely buy w/confidence.
Seriously, I wonder how many of these get relisted back for sale as auth. by people who got stuck from someone else? I keep thinking about how many listings I’ve seen with ridiculous bids for suspect or obvious reprints. Many probably don’t go through - shill bid up to create a perception, returned, case opened, etc. but I’m sure often enough they’re sold - buyer doesn’t realize, waits too long to get it authenticated, forgets, embarrassed, whatever .. and then thinks it’s easier just to relist the same way and keep quiet |
It was however - "kept in screwed binding case for years" - :)

He meant to say: E90-2 Wagner Front with an E90-1 Back...
Very Scarce indeed  |
