The Bench/Ryan is pretty cool.

Haha, agreed. If this is anyone on the board's cards, please let me know as I'd be interested in picking up the Ryan.

Send them to BVG and tell them they are the rough cut OPC versions.

??

What? There not supposed to be perforated like the Bird-Magic rookie??

WhenItWasAHobby 09-15-2014 11:38 AM

This brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "group rip".

DixieBaseball 09-15-2014 02:05 PM

Rip, rip, snip, snip...

How old are these kids? It is actually a masterful job of not tearing the card across any of the faces. I don't know many kids that would make such a "perfect" tear to take special care of each of the 2 sides of the card. Impressive. Most impressive. Hmmmm....

tschock 09-15-2014 03:07 PM

Ouch! Somewhere... out there... are some missing halves.

z28jd 09-15-2014 03:24 PM

Some kid figured out the idea of supply and demand at an early age. He realized that if you take seven Rod Carew rookies off the market, that would help the price of the remaining cards. Someone give that kid a case of 1987 Topps please

When we were kids we would cut up the league leader cards, I had quite a few 70,71, 72, 73 missing someone.

We did it so we could increase our number of cards in our collection.

Tape them together for PSA 1's :)

darwinbulldog 09-17-2014 11:37 AM

You think those are bad? You should see his T200 collection.

sycks22 09-17-2014 02:05 PM

I always thought Carew needed his own rookie card.
