Magazine ads

3 Attachment(s)
I recently found three vintage magazine ads featuring Joe Gordon, Robin Roberts and Bob Feller.
I did some searching and I believe the Bob Feller Wheaties ad is from a 1952 Life magazine. The Joe Gordon tire ad I believe is from the June 1941 issue of Life magazine. I have no information about the Robin Roberts gum ad other the seller had marked it 1953.
What is interesting for the 1941 ad is that the reverse of the page is an article about shipping convoys and how they avoid attack by German submarines.
Does anyone know what magazine and date the Robin Roberts ad is from and the date of the Bob Feller ad? Should I assume the ads were in several different issues?

The Robin Roberts ad is from 1953 and appeared in Saturday Evening Post magazines. The Joe Gordon ran mainly in Life and the Bob Feller ad also ran mostly in Life.
Occasionally you can find the same ad that ran in different magazines, but only the big time advertisers had the budget to run in multiple publications.

Thanks Rich for the reply! I'll make a note of the Roberts and The Saturday Evening Post.

Your Welcome,
There is also a Stan Musial and Allie Reynolds Beech Nut Gum ads which are full page/full color ads from 53' that are also really nice. I have been collecting ads for 30 years and have a large collection, they offer a really interesting look into our past and are just plain FUN to hunt for!!

I agree! I really like the hunt. I also enjoy framming them.
