Campy help please

I won the following in a recent Hunts auction. Says it was signed at Harlon Werners 1991 campanella signing (Campy was represented by his Sports Placement Service) and has the sticker on back (See pictures). Signature looked off to me for a post accident Campy but I bought it based on the sticker. Scroll to right to see sticker. JSA just rejected it. Could anyone tell me if the sticker is legit and you have an opinion on the signature? I only need him and Goslin to complete the gold plaques so jumped on it despite my hesitations. Thanks for your opinions

I completely fail to understand why more plaques and base Perez Steele PCs weren't signed by Campy. It makes no sense. The number of collectors of both items was greater during Campy's lifetime than exist today. You'd think more people would have just bitten the bullet and shelled out the money to fill those holes in their collections.

Absolutely confounding: while the base issue Perez Steele is incredibly rare, the two later PS issues are much more common. Why were these being signed in more abundance when they were always less popular to collect? What is with the complete lack of logic? My best guess is that a promoter had Campy in for a show which didn't sell to the public as much as they anticipated. In a scramble to have more items signed in the back room, they scoured the show floor for more unsigned material and only came up with a stack of Celebration and Great Moments.

Does not look like a typical post accident Campy example although they were not all that consistent anyway.

I can see why JSA would not authenticate it. They pay no attention to the supposed provenance on the reverse.

May be authentic but I would not count on it.

Maybe try PSA/DNA but you may be sending good money after bad.

I would probably return to Hunt for a refund based on the JSA rejection and look for a more representable example.

The problem with postcards is there wasn't as much space to sign as Campy needed considering how he had to stretch his hand. Normally I'd say it looks bad, but knowing this and knowing that Sports Placement did multiple shows with Campy (I have a large signed photo I got signed in person in 1989 that they put their sticker on right after I got it signed), id say it's probably good.
